Ann Marie Neurohr, 84, of Dickinson, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson, ND.

Ann Marie was born September 22, 1934, fourth child of Anna (Kronbauer) and John C. Neurohr of Gladstone, ND. She attended school in Gladstone and Grand Forks but resided most of her life in Stark County.

Ann Marie worked at the Dairy Queen, Wendy’s, thrift and good will shops in Dickinson. She loved family, people and animals (especially cats) and had an uncanny ability to remember birthdays and other dates. She was a gentle and happy soul, always positive and upbeat. She enjoyed outings, social gatherings, ceramics, and playing bingo. She had many friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Ann Marie is survived by her sisters, Helen Connell and Agnes Kolling, both of Dickinson, sister-in-law, Eleanor Neurohr, as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Neurohr, and her brothers, John A. and Matt Neurohr, both of Stark County, ND.

A special thank you to Reverend Krebbs for reaching out to Ann Marie and her family and bravely staying with her in her final moments when family couldn’t be present.

Another thank you to St. Benedict’s for providing a place that Ann Marie happily called home the past twenty years.

Due to the pandemic, no funeral or memorial service is planned at this time.

I worked with Ann Marie at the Dairy Queen almost 40 years ago! She was always happy and smiling and she radiated joy to all she met. I got married and left ND in 1990. It was several years later when we came back to Dickinson to visit; we went to church and she was there and recognized me! It was so nice to see her and her beautiful smile again!

I will always remember Ann Marie from St Bens. She was there while my Mom, Afton Hanson was a resident. She loved her Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Sweet soul.

We were neighbors of the Neurohrs in Gladstone. Ann Marie was a very kind person. I loved visiting at their farm . I got to feed the sheep with a bottle. Many memories of those days. Also connected again when she worked at the Dairy Queen.
RIP Ann Marie . Condolences to the family from Kathy (Bogner) Sullivan

When I visited a relative at St. Bens I would often find Ann Marie in a nook near the aquarium. I would stop and enjoy a short visit with her. She was so delightful and considerate of others. Ill miss seeing her whenever it's possible to do indoor visits. May God Bless her, and give her family peace with their memories of this special lady. Cathy Logosz

Ann Marie was a special lady, and wonderful neighbor when we lived next door to her in the condos east of Holiday Inn Express. She loved to visit, and always had a smile on her face. Our sympathy and prayers are with her family.
