Lillian passed away Saturday, October 3, 2020 at St. Benedict's Health in Dickinson.

Lillian Kooren was born July 21, 1933 to Ray and Anna (Splichal) Kooren.
Lillian was an excellent record keeper. She loved keeping records of the family and community events as well as the detailed expenses of the farm. She could ‘always’ find the answer for any question regarding these records. This ability was instilled in her during her early years at Zenith School. After the eighth grade she worked on the farm with her parents. Lillian married Laudie, a farmer, and she worked hard on their farm, where her talent came in handy. She cared for her family and the farm until she could no longer stay on the farm. Lillian was not one to sit still very long, she became very good at maneuvering her wheelchair up and down the halls of St. Benedict’s and sometimes into rooms she wasn’t supposed to be in. Lillian’s faith was very important to her, she prayed the rosary daily and was often the first to arrive for Mass. Lillian enjoyed anything farm related, milking cows, crocheting, gardening and she especially enjoyed keeping daily diaries. She was a country woman at heart.

Lillian is survived by her sons, Duane (Diana) and Lee, all of Dickinson; three grandchildren, Nathan (Amanda) Dvorak, Jahna Dvorak, Samantha Dvorak; five great-grandchildren, Malachi, Keziah, Zavian, David, and Grace; brother, Connie (Kathy) Kooren of Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Anna Kooren; husband, Laudie (1989); son, Allen; siblings, Elsie and Ida.

We are forever grateful for the care and compassion which Lillian received while a resident at St. Benedict’s.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial to either St. Joseph's Pine Room or St. Benedict's Nursing Home.

Very fond memories of Lillian, Laudie and Allen as we were growing up. It was always a treat going out to their farm south of town. They all are resting in the hands of God. May the love that Lillian shared with all keep your hearts warm until you meet her again.
With Love in Christ.
