Terry Ann Kilwein Wermes, 66, died May 4, 2020, of heart disease at home in Scottsdale, AZ. She was born January 1, 1954, in Dickinson, ND, daughter of Theodore and Marie (Berger) Kilwein. Terry was married to Stephen Wermes for 26 years, a wonderful husband and caregiver. She graduated from Trinity High School Class of 1972, completed studies at Patricia Stevens School in Minneapolis, and received a BA in Architectural Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design in NYC. She was thrilled to use her initials (including her confirmation name of Louise), in naming her business TALK Design.

Terry cherished being the big sister in her family and stayed in touch with everyone. She was fashion savvy and enjoyed the finer things in life including live opera and theatre. She was a longtime fan of the NBA, MLB and NASCAR. She loved her dogs Cisco and Poncho. Terry's favorite things included roses, chocolate, potato chips, reading, and warm weather.

Terry is survived by her husband, Steve, stepson Brandon, grandchildren Barrett and Alexandra, siblings Robin, Daniel, Pamela, Kathleen, Jayme, Tina, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and Aunts Polly, Rosemary and Doris Berger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Dale and Bruce, brothers-in-law Ron Girard, Jim Peery, Steve Ziegler, and 33 aunts and uncles.

Carrying on with Terry’s support of veterans, memorial donations may be made in her name to Stark County Veterans Memorial Association (SCVMA), P.O. Box 929, Dickinson, ND, 58601.

Terry Ann was one of my favorite cousins and best friends when we were little. We had so much fun and got in fun trouble off and on. We lost touch over the years but have never forgotten what good friends we were. I will miss her forever. I love you Terry. Sandra Nielsen Nerison
