Obituary

Graveside service for Viola Mae Heinle, 81, of Dickinson, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020 at St Joseph Cemetery.

To protect the health and safety of all, services are currently being limited as required by state and local authorities and the CDC. Social distancing is required for all in attendance.

Viola passed away of natural causes at her home in Dickinson, ND on March 19, 2020.

Viola Mae “Olie” was born March 14, 1939 as one of six children to Ida and Joseph Schwindt. She grew up and lived in the Dickinson area her entire life. Olie and Casper Weiler were married November 29, 1958. Together they owned and operated the Gladstone Bar for many years while raising two children. Later she married Richard Heinle, during this time she was a stay at home mom. Olie moved back to Dickinson in the 80’s where she resided until her death. She worked for Community Action for many years until going to work dispatching for Elder Care Transit.

Olie was known for her wit and sense of humor. Fun loving no matter how rough life can get. She was a work hard so she could play hard kind of gal! She loved her cats almost as much as she loved her grandchildren. Family meant the world to her so you know how much she loved her cats. She enjoyed summers with her granddaughters and was always cheering for her grandsons demo derby every year. Olie enjoyed bowling, bingo and anything that would get her out and about with friends and family.

She is survived by her son, Neal (Myra) Weiler of Sulphur, OK, and daughter, Shirley (Darryl) Muhs of Joliet, MT; grandchildren, Sarah (Mike) McChesney, Sonya Muhs and Levi Muhs; great-grandchildren, Kadin and Cloey Jennison and Alex McChesney; brother Ralph; sisters, Dorothy, Margaret, Alice; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Dave Schwindt.

Mom we love and miss you every day, cheers!

Memorials can be sent to c/o Shirley Muhs, 70 Mule Deer Rd, Joliet, MT 59041
